Objectives of the Federation

The Australian and New Zealand Federation of Chemical Engineers (ANZFChE) was formed in 1997 and has joint membership from the following organisations:

The objectives of the joint operations conducted ANZFChE:

Demonstrate cooperative leadership for the profession of chemical engineering throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Provide a forum for consultation and communication between the constituent institutions in the interests of the profession.

Promote the profession of chemical engineering in Australia and New Zealand for the benefit of the community, the environment, industry and members.

Develop joint position papers and approaches to issues of importance to Chemical Engineers.
Promote an awareness of excellence throughout the profession.

Encourage the building of careers in chemical engineering, including attracting new students to the profession, and the maintenance of professional standards via the institutions.
